About Fiosrú

From 2 April 2025, Fiosrú the Office of the Police Ombudsman has taken on the role of dealing with complaints from the public where they have concerns about Garda members, a role that was previously carried out by the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission. The Government has appointed Ms Emily Logan to be Ireland's first Police Ombudsman, supported by the Chief Executive Officer of Fiosrú Ms Sheila McClelland.
